The popular TV reality show, Khatron Ke Khiladi season 8 finally ended on Saturday. The finale episode has been aired on Colors. Interestingly, the show has been won by TV actor and every girl’s heartthrob Shantanu Maheshwari. Yes, the D3 fame won the final battle against Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress Hina Khan and Jamai Raja actor Ravi Dubey.
After winning the show the cute actor got overwhelmed and expressed his happiness in a candid chat with us. He also revealed to us many things about him and the show.

How was your finale task experience?
Finale task was the best task I feel because it had all the elements of Khatron Ke Khiladi like weight, water, height, cars and tala-chabis. It was a very heroic task, so it was amazing when I did that task. I was the first one to go, so I was very happy with the fact that I completed the task which had given me a different feeling. I never thought at that point of time that I will win or I will lose, I didn’t give my best but I enjoyed the task thoroughly and I just loved that.
How did you manage to get rid of your major phobias of height and water?
I think Khatron Ke Khiladi has played a major role in that. They gave me stunt which were height oriented quite often and I had to perform them. So, it just helped me to overcome my phobia fight. But water is still not something I am comfortable with. I would love to explore. But it was because of Khatron Ke Khiladi, I started learning swimming. In fact, I didn’t know how to swim, but now I can swim.
Has Khatron Ke Khiladi taught you something about life?
It has! First is not to give up and the second thing is fear is only for a moment. Fear is not something that you can’t overcome. It stops you from achieving something big in life is what I feel.
In Spain, what did you use to do after every task?
We used to have three stunt days and one off day for reality and everything. We used to chill, go out, play volleyball sometimes. We used to spend time together. Sometimes, we used to rest also in the hotel. Especially, our hotel had beautiful facilities, and we used to indulge it that as well.
What do you think is more challenging, dance or adventure?
For me, adventure is more challenging. But dance also has its own challenges in its own way. It depends on how you see it. It depends upon person to person. In fact, for me, it is challenging in terms of learning new forms, new styles of dancing, and achieving those styles in the best possible manner. Basically, achieving perfection in dance is something very challenging.
Do you think winning the show has helped you in undergoing an image makeover?
Maybe but I don’t think like that. So, this thought has never crossed my mind. But when you do Khatron Ke Khiladi which actually has a different crowd, a different set of people who watch them. If you’re doing well in task or stunts, people look up to you and create a heroic image about yourself in people’s head. But my intentions were never like that. Of late, I have met children who have literally recognised me told their parents, ‘mummy-papa, ye toh wo hai jo Khatron Ke Khiladi main ek bhi task nahi haare hai and he is the one I want to be like him’. So, it feels something very nice.
What do you have to say about your die-hard female fans for their much love?
Thank you! I really appreciate what you guys do. It’s really overwhelming. The way you do it, how much you do it, that is something really awesome. I promise that I will keep trying to do my best and come up with projects or certain things which will keep entertaining you in future.
What was the toughest thing about Khatron Ke Khiladi?
I think performing stunt was the toughest thing on the show. Because that was the only thing that was expected from all the contestants to perform the stunts in the best way possible. All the things were taken care of pretty well. And also, you are away from home, family and friends. It’s a new country, a new city where you will be performing and living in. And I have never lived alone for so many days away from my family which also a challenge for me. But the major challenge is something that I would say performing those stunts in the best way.
