Electronic Arts' Fifa 18 is one of the most awaited games for football fans across the globe every year and was intended to release worldwide on 29 September. Fans in India, however, have not started receiving their copies of the game yet as a new report reveals that the launch date has been pushed to 3 October.'

A report by the Financial Times revealed that the new launch date has been confirmed by EA's exclusive partner Amazon India as per its website listing. This applies only to the standard edition of the game for Playstation 4 and Xbox One users. A Fifa 18 Ronaldo Edition with additional game content was also made available for pre-order by EA which has reached users on the scheduled 26 September date. Xbox One users who had pre-ordered the game on the Xbox Store also received the download on 29 September, as scheduled.
An Amazon India spokesperson speaking to Gadgets 360 in said, "More than 90 percent of the customers who pre-ordered will get it on or before the India release date in 2017 setting a new record for deliveries on release date for video games in India. The number of customers who will be delivered on release date in 2017 will be 10 times higher than 2016."
This is the third consecutive year that fans of EA's Fifa label in India have been disappointed with Fifa 16 and 17 launches delayed in the country previously.
