Mumbai: Dishing out a spirited fighting display Companeroes SC ‘B’ managed to snatch a tight 2-1 win against Bharat FC in a keenly contested Second Division match of the MDFA League 2017-2018 and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Sunday. After a barren first half, Companeroes went ahead through Suresh Sutar’s goal in the 41st minute before Pramod Waghela netted the second in the 50th minute. Bharat FC fought gamely and got one back through Nitesh Jadhav in the 54th minute.
Earlier, Amigos Football Club stormed to a fluent 3-0 win against Storm Chasers SC. Sanket Shinde, Romen Malakar and Nikhil Khanvilkar scored a goal each for the victors.
