BENGALURU: A gang of three who stole motorcycles to take their girlfriends on joyrides has been arrested by Koramangala police on Saturday. The accused are Imran Pasha (20) and Nawaz Khan (20), residents of Tin Factory, and Mohammed Aarif (21) from Krishna Palya. All three are diploma holders. They used to steal motorcycles parked in front of houses and after using the vehicles for some time they would sell them and buy gifts for their girlfriends.

The accused were caught during a random vehicle check while they were on a long ride along with their girlfriends. The registration number plates of the vehicles had been removed. They were performing stunts on NICE Road and Outer Ring Road on the stolen motorcycles, cops said. Police have recovered 14 bikes and have cracked two cases in Koramangala and one each in Madiwala, Jalahalli and Ramamurthy Nagar police station limits. Police are identifying the owners of the recovered bikes.
