Maruti Suzuki India Registers 10.3% Growth In Total Domestic Sales In September 2017
In the passenger vehicle category, sales of passenger cars, utility vehicles, and vans increased by 11.1 per cent, 8 per cent, and 0.9 per cent, respectively

India’s largest automobile manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has posted 10.3 per cent growth in its total domestic sales for the month of September 2017 and stood at 151,400 units. The same for September 2016 stood at 137,321 units.
The company’s total export sales went down by 1.3 per cent at 11,671 units as against 11,822 units during September 2016. The automaker shared this information in an official press statement released on Sunday (1 October).
Maruti Suzuki total domestic passenger vehicle sales stood at 150,521 units when compared with 137,277 units during same month previous year, thereby recording year-on-year growth of 9.6 per cent.

In passenger cars segment, sales of mini and mid-size vehicles registered downfall. However, sales of compact cars, like Swift, Celerio, Ignis, Baleno, etc, surged 44.7 per cent and stood at 72,804 units during September 2017.
Sales of Maruti Suzuki India’s only light commercial vehicle Super Carry stood at 879 units as against 44 units during September 2016.
