Miscreants attacked a police vehicle and took away with them an arrested person from the custody of the cops in Birbhum district today, police said.
Superintendent of Police, N Sudheerkumar said, "a sudden clash broke out between two groups of Muharram organisers at Naryanpur village near Rampurhat. Amidst the chaos an arrested person was snatched away from police vehicle."
The situation is now under control, the SP added.
The police had earlier arrested Sanju Seikh.
