HYDERABAD: Congress Party, TDP and CPI, which joined hands with each other to defeat the ruling TRS backed Telangana Boggu Gani Karmika Sangham in the Singareni employees’ polls, to be held on October 5, alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had deployed all his ministers and senior leaders in the Singareni poll campaign as he had sensed the growing resentment among the SCCL workers towards the State government.
“Ruling TRS is making all efforts to win the polls even by using liquor and money to lure the voters. CM deputed ministers, his party MPs and MLAs for electioneering. It is a clear indication that CM is fearing defeat,” TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy, TDP TS unit working president A Revanth Reddy and CPI State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy said.
Ridiculing the promises made by the Chief Minister to the Singareni workers on Friday, the trio accused Rao of hoodwinking the Singareni workers for one-more time to win trade union polls. After holding a meeting at Press Club, Uttam Kumar Reddy ridiculed the announcements made by the Chief Minister.
“KCR made several attractive promises to various sections of people including the SCCL workers during the 2014 polls. No single promise has been implemented so far. Now, again the CM has begun making some more promises for the Singareni elections. Coalmines employees are getting ready to teach a befitting lesson to the TRS backed TBGKS in the Singareni polls,” the TPCC chief attacked.
Uttam said the TRS government was not serious on restoring dependent jobs scheme to Sinagreni workers. Hence, it had issued a faulty order in this regard, he added. “In order to cover up his government’s inefficiency in reviving dependent jobs scheme, the Chief Minister KCR is putting the blame on the Congress Party. I am once again making it clear that no Congress worker has filed petitions in courts challenging the dependent jobs scheme,” he remarked.
