The trailer of Riteish Deshmukh’s upcoming production venture Faster Fene is out. The story of a boy detective who aims to solve crimes was launched earlier today. Amey Wagh, who is popular for his work in Marathi theatre and films, will play the title role in the film.

The film’s trailer has Fene convincing Dilip Prabhavalkar’s character to let him solve a robbery and after what looks like a successful attempt, Fene gets involved in solving a student’s murder. He uncovers a bigger case while digging deep into the matter which could potentially hurt his life. Much like the fictional detective Byomkesh Bakshi, Faster Fene captured the imagination of young minds.

Based on the character created by B. R. Bhagwat, the film chronicles Fene’s adventures as he tries to solve a murder case but he uncovers a huge scam in the process. Faster Fene was a popular fictional character that was later adapted into a television series by Doordarshan. The character of the boy detective was hugely loved among Marathi children.

This is Deshmukh’s third film as a producer. He has earlier produced Balak Palak (2012) and Yellow (2014) under his banner Mumbai Film Company. He presented the film’s teaser on September 25.

Earlier this year, Amey Wagh was seen in the Marathi film Muramba, that was appreciated for its realistic representation of an urban Marathi family’s lifestyle. The film also stars Dilip Prabhavalkar, Parna Pethe, Shubham More & Girish Kulkarni in pivotal roles.
