Security forces launch search operation in Bandipora

SRINAGAR : Security forces on Saturday launched a search operation in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, where militants killed a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan and injured four others at Hajin on September 27 night.
Official sources said the Army, Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint search operation in Hajin following a tip off about the presence of militants.
Security forces sealed all exit points and are conducting searches, the sources said, adding that so far, no contact has been established with the militants. BSF jawan Ramzan Parray was killed and his father, two brothers and aunt were injured in a militant attack in his house at Parray house Hajin.
However, the militants managed to escape under the cover of darkness after the incident though security forces immediately launched a search operation. Police said foreign militants of Lashkhar-e-Toiba (LeT) were involved in the incident. (AGENCIES)
