A special investigation team led by Chalakudy Dy.SP Shamsuddhin will investigate the murder of a real estate broker whose body was found in an uninhabited building at Pariyaram, near Chalakudy, on Friday.
The police arrested four persons in connection with the murder. Rajeev, 46, of Nayathode, Angamaly, was found dead in the building on a leased land at Thavalappara where he was doing farming. He used to stay at the farmland.
It is suspected that enmity in connection with a real estate deal led to the murder. The police are investigating the alleged role of a senior lawyer in the case. Rajeev had given a complaint to the DGP alleging threat from him.
