TV couple Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan in Bigg Boss 11?

The ‘Can’t keep calm’ memes are rightly used as Bigg Boss 11 is all set to launch on October 1 on Colors. The Salman Khan hosted show will see the contestants divided into two houses as per the theme of neighbourhood this season. Though names of probable contestants started doing rounds from more than a month, the makers are unusually secretive about the contestants this season. Apart from television beauty Hina Khan, small screen superstar couple Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan are also set to get locked in the controversial house. Shared a source with indianexpress.com, “Getting a couple always adds more drama and fun and staying true to the custom, the makers have zeroed in on Hiten-Gauri this time. Hiten is already on board and since Gauri is shooting for Colors show Tu Aashiqui, the makers are currently graphing out her participation.”

As readers would remember, Bigg Boss has hosted couples like Tanaaz-Bakhtiyar Irani, Keith Sequeira-Rochelle Rao, Suyyash Rai-Kishwer Merchantt and Shilpa-Apurva Agnihotri in its previous seasons. Having a couple not only adds to the romance factor but also drama and fights. With partners standing against each other in competition or paired up with another, it all adds up to the entertainment factor. And not to forget the controversy if either, or both try to cosy up to another contestant.

Hiten and Gauri met on the sets of Kutumb and fell in love soon after. Being married for more than 13 years, the couple has twins – a boy and a girl. While Hiten is a chilled out fun guy, Gauri is a reserved person, who lets her hair down only in the close confinement of her house. Sources also state that even if Gauri misses the bus owing to her commitment towards the show, Hiten will definitely be seen in Bigg Boss 11. “Gauri doesn’t shoot regularly for Tu Aashiqui and has only given around 15 days to the production. Things are still being discussed to adjust her absence as the couple is keen to enter the show together,” the source added.

Hiten, who is fondly remembered as Karan from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, has also done substantial roles in shows like Balika Vadhu, Gangaa and Pavitra Rishta among others. He has also been part of films like Krishna Cottage, Joggers Park, Love Games and more. Gauri, on the other hand, is an ex-Miss India contestant. After a fulfilling career as a model, she started acting and has shows like Kyuni Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Special Squad, Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi under her belt.

Bigg Boss 11 will once again see a mix of celebrities and commoners as contestants. While names of celebs like Dhinchak Pooja, Hina Khan and Priyank Sharma are doing rounds, the channel has released the identity of first four commoners. From self-proclaimed God-woman Shivani Durgah and daughter of a clerk Jyoti Kumari, to item dancer Sapna Choudhary and underworld kingpin Haseena Parkar’s son-in-law Zubair Khan will be seen in the show.
