Panasonic has launched the P99 smartphone in India which adds up to the P series of smartphones from the brand. The smartphone has been priced at Rs. 7,490 which will be available across several Panasonic brand stores and offline retailers across the country.
The Panasonic P99 is a camera-centric smartphone which promises to offer consumers several camera app modulations that include Beauty, Burst shot, Night, Professional, Watermark, HDR, and Panorama mode.
The specifications of the smartphone include an 8-megapixel rear camera along with flash. It boasts a 5-megapixel self-portrait camera accompanied by a 5-inch HD IPS display. It is powered by 1.25GHz quad-core processor while 2GB of RAM installed on it eases multitasking. Panasonic P99 offers 16GB of internal storage while providing users an option to expand the memory by 128GB using microSD card. The device has a 2,000mAh battery and runs Android Nougat 7.0 out-of-the-box.
Business Head of Mobility Division of Panasonic India, Mr. Pankaj Rana stated at the launch, "We are happy to announce an addition to our P-Series smartphone range, the stylish P99 with improved display and various front and back camera modes for our consumers. The new device is equipped with an upgraded version of Android 7.0 Nougat so that you can multitask and are connected to the world. This new launch will expand consumers' choice of mobile phones in this price segment."
The Panasonic P99 will come in Champagne Gold, Black, and Blue colors.
Panasonic has already launched several smartphones in India already. The brand has set a benchmark to launch 24 smartphones in the country in 2017.
