Heavy rain likely today

The southwest monsoon has been active over Rayalaseema. The upper air cyclonic circulation lying over west central Bay of Bengal off south Odisha and north Andhra Pradesh coasts and extending up to 3.6 km above the mean sea level tilting south westwards with height, persists. Heavy rain is very likely to occur at isolated places in all the districts of coastal Andhra Pradesh on Friday, according to the IMD. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers may occur at many places over Rayalaseema during the same period.
