A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan on Friday shot himself in Pampor town of South Kashmir.
The deceased has been identified as AK Dass of E/110 Battalion of CRPF posted at grid station.
Dass shot himself using his INSAS weapon. The reason behind the suicide is yet to be known.
After the incident, ,Station House Officer (SHO) Pampore, Adil Rashid, told media persons that the body will be handed over to the family after completion of legal and medical formalities.
