JAMMU, Sept 29: Speaker State Assembly and MLA, Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta interacted with several deputations who called on him here today to seek speedy redressal of their grievances and demands.
The deputations who called on the Speaker include a deputation from Bathindi- Bermini led by Ch. Mohd. Shareef Hussain, deputation of mechanics from Transport Nagar- Narwal, deputation of Rehri Zone of Gandhi Nagar, deputation from several other areas of his Constituency.
People from Bermini- Bathindi expressed their gratitude to the Speaker for starting the long pending Rs. 4.5 crore Blacktopping/upgradation of the road in their area and apprised him about the requirement related to conductor and poles for proper supply of electricity, infrastructural requirement of schools and improvement of drainage system in the interior localities.
The street vendors of Transport Nagar, Gandhi Nagar and others also apprised him regarding the difficulties faced by them in carrying out their daily routine work and sought his intervention for giving them relief.
The Speaker informed them that Rs 1.8 crore for procuring poles and conductors have been made available with the PDD and the Department is installing and procuring the same as per the requirement of the people of Gandhi Nagar.
