SAO PAULO: Brazil has replaced another injured left back for its last two South American World Cup qualifiers in October.

Jorge of Monaco will replace Filipe Luis of Atletico Madrid, who injured his left thigh.

Luis needs at least 15 days to recover, the Brazilian Football Confederation said in a statement on Thursday.

Last week, Alex Sandro of Juventus had to replace the injured Marcelo of Real Madrid.

The already-qualified Brazilians play eliminated Bolivia in La Paz on Oct. 5, and five days later they host desperate Chile in Sao Paulo.
