Varun Dhawan’s ‘Judwaa 2’ is already off to a good start. The film has released in over 3500 screens in India and has witnessed 40 percent occupancy at the theatres as informed by trade analysts Taran Adarsh and Girish Johar. “#Judwaa2 screen count…India: 3500+Overseas: 625 Worldwide total: 4125+ screens,” wrote Taran Adarsh.

” Judwaa 2 Ki Dussehra Opens to a Very Good Start …more than 40% in early shows on a wide release @Varun_dvn @taapsee @Asli_Jacqueline 💕👏👍😊,” tweeted Girish Johar.

The film is a remake of Salman Khan starrer ‘Judwaa’ which had released in 1997. The Puja holidays and the emotions of watching the remake version of a ’90s film have worked well for Varun Dhawan, Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez. The film is expected to earn as much as Rs 15 crore or above on an opening day. With the extended holiday on Monday, it wouldn’t be a complete shocker if the film crosses the Rs 50 crore mark within its first extended weekend.

““The advance booking for ‘Judwaa 2’ had started on Monday and in some places on Tuesday and the film is getting a fantastic response. I think people are looking forward to seeing Varun Dhawan enacting one of Salman Khan’s famous roles. I assume the film will make as much as Rs 15 crore on the first day. Since the holiday seasons are on, ‘Judwaa 2’ has all the possibilities of crossing the Rs 50 crore mark on Sunday. With Monday being an extended holiday, we can expect the film to do better. It has all the possibilities,” said Girish Johar.

‘Judwaa 2’ will mark Varun Dhawan’s second hit film this year after ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania.’
