We had reported earlier that Bajaj Auto will launch the Pulsar NS200 (NS-Naked Sports) with ABS (Antilock Braking System) by 2018, but the two-wheeler manufacturer has silently launched the motorcycle with ABS that now comes as a standard fitment. As confirmed by a dealer, the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is priced at about Rs 1.08 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi, which is around Rs 11,000 more than the non-ABS version. The company has not yet officially announced the launch or the prices for the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 ABS but we expect them to be announced soon in a couple of days. The updated Bajaj Pulsar NS200 ABS gets a single channel unit similar to the Pulsar RS200, which means only the front wheel is equipped with ABS. This makes its one of the most affordable motorcycles in Bajaj's stable with ABS. Other safety features of the Pulsar NS200 include front and rear disc brakes.
Powertrain in the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 remains unchanged. The motorcycle is powered by the same 199.5 cc, liquid cooled, BSIV compliant DTS-i engine that develops 23.5 hp of power at 9,500 rpm and 18.3 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The company has not yet equipped the Pulsar NS200 with a fuel-injected engine, but the technology is expected to be equipped across the Pulsar series soon. The Pulsar NS200 also gets the same suspension setup, a 37 mm telescopic with anti-friction bush at the front and nitrox mono shock absorber at the rear. It rides on 17-inch wheels at the front and the rear.

Visually too, the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 ABS is the same as the non-ABS version. The motorcycle gets an aggressive and muscular stance and also features LED headlamp and body graphics. The Pulsar NS200 ABS competes with the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 200, KTM 200 Duke and the Yamaha FZ25 in the segment. Bookings for the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 with ABS are open at company dealerships across the country.
