Municipal Commissioner B. Janardhan Reddy has asked Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation officials to complete the field-level survey for layout regularisation scheme by October 15.
A total of 85,337 applications for the LRS have been received under the GHMC purview, of which 13,335 were rejected as the preliminary payment of ₹10,000 had not been made. More than 3,675 applications for regularisation of layouts encroaching into the FTL of tanks, nalas and government lands were rejected. Of the remaining 68,327 applications, field survey is yet to be done for only 9,542 layouts. A predominant majority of these layouts at 8,895 are from the East Zone, Mr. Janardhan Reddy informed a meeting. A total of 39,024 applicants for the LRS have been informed to furnish required documents for approval, of whom only 5,619 fulfilled the requirement. So far only 10,661 LRS approvals have been given, he added.
