Hiroki Sakai extends Marseille deal to 2021

MARSEILLE: Japanese right-back Hiroki Sakai has signed a one-year contract extension with Marseille, the Ligue 1 club announced on Friday.

The 27-year-old, who joined the south coast club from Hannover a year ago, is now tied down until 2021.

Sakai, capped 38 times by Japan, has played 11 matches for Marseille this season.
