Jaipur: Three men were arrested in connection with the gang-rape of 16-year-old schoolgirl in Gundli village of Bhilwara district. The girl was abducted on her way to school on Tuesday by three men riding a motorcycle. The rape occurred near fields belonging to one of the accused Kailash Gurjar. The man's friends Kanhaiya Lal and Jagdish Gurjar were accomplices. The men abducted the girl, holding a knife to her neck while she was on her way to school.

The girl was held captive for several hours and later released. Bhanwar Meghwanshi of the Campaign for the Protection of the Rights of Adivasis, Nomads and Dalits, said that the girl approached a woman at Doongada Ke Kheda village which is where she was released. The woman, an acquaintance of the accused, informed the men over phone. "The men returned and took the girl away for the second time and raped her again," Meghwanshi said.

At around 11 pm on Tuesday night, the girl was released close to her house and warned not to speak of the incident.

Bhilwara SP Pradeep Mohan Sharma said, "After the incident, the girl was first taken to the child welfare committee of Bhilwara. Suman Trivedi of the committee approached us. We have filed an FIR and arrested all three men. Their statement before the magistrate has also been recorded."
