Cigna to up stake in JV with TTK to 49%

Standalone health insurer Cigna TTK Health Insurance has received Insurance Regulator and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) approval to increase its stake from 26 percent to 49 percent in the joint venture.

Cigna TTK Health is a joint venture between the US- based global health service leader Cigna Corporation and the TTK Group.

"The increase in investment will enable us to remain focused on expanding and strengthening our distribution network," Sandeep Patel, managing director Cigna TTK Health Insurance, said.
