ELURU: The medical and health officials sealed Dr Anil Ortho and Critical Care Hospital at Nidadavole on Wednesday as it did not have valid licence. Following complaints that the hospital was exploiting patients, Deputy DM&HO Padmaja Rani inspected the hospital on September 11. During inspection it was revealed that Dr Anil Kumar Choudary Mandava was running the hospital. Dr Anil and Dr Pushpa failed to show their MBBS certificates to prove their credentials.
Despite an ultimatum by the Deputy DM&HO to Dr Anil and Dr Pushpa to get permission from the authorities within two days by submitting the certificates of their educational qualifications and other necessary documents, the duo failed to do so. Hence, DM&HO K Koteswari directed Deputy Medical Health Extension Officer Ch Nageswara Rao and Tadimalla PHC Medical Officer P Srikanth to inspect the hospital once again. After verifying the records, the officials sealed the hospital.
