TUMAKURU:  KPCC president G Parameshwara has already begun preparations to contest from Koratagere Assembly constituency again in the ensuing polls. The Dalit leader has been toiling hard to ensure that there is no repeat of his failure during the last Assembly poll.

He kicked off the campaign from Veeranagamma Temple at Vaddagere situated on north east (Devamoole) to Koratagere hobli on Monday while on Tuesday too he chose Arasapura village for a similar reason in Holavanahalli hobli. Every day he has been covering seven gram panchayat headquarters. In many places, women outnumbered the men to meet the KPCC president.

The implementation of ‘Anna Bhagya’ has been a common feature of his speech to impress the women folk as he has been getting a big round of applause for the same. Meanwhile, the NSUI, the student wing of the Congress party, has also become active under the leadership of taluk president Venkatesh Babu B V.
