Good News: In Navratri gift to Pakistan, Sushma grants visa to Karachi girl for heart surgery

India has given Pakistan a gift in this holy period of Navratri.

The plea of a Pakistani mother seeking medical visa for her 7-year-old girl's heart surgery moved External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.

The girl has been granted the visa to come to India for treatment.

Maha Shoaib, a 7-year-old girl from Karachi, is suffering from 60 per cent heart blockage and cannot go to school. Her mother Nida reached out to Sushma Swaraj, invoking Maa Durga and Navratri, seeking medical help.

We hope that Pakistan is able to reciprocate at least some of this compassion shown by India.
