Jai Lava Kusa box office report: Jr Ntr continues to charm the cash box, joins the Rs 100 crore club

Jr NTR’s film Jai Lava Kusa joins the Rs 100 crore club.

Jai Lava Kusa, starring Tollywood superstar Jr NTR, has earned Rs 103 crore within six days of its release, joining the elite 100-crore club. The film opened to positive reviews at the box office, gaining a good opening at all collection centres. Jai Lava Kusa has Jr Ntr essaying three characters, justifying the film’s title. In the first 6 days, the movie earned a massive Rs 71 crore in the Telugu speaking states, according to trade analyst Ramesh Bala. It has also received a good share of business in other places including foreign centres. The movie has grossed Rs 12 crore in Karnataka, Rs 2.50 crore in Tamil Nadu and Rs 2.75 crore at other centres across the country.

Elated by the response, the makers had recently celebrated the success of the film at Hyderabad. Jr NTR had tweeted, “All this love for #JaiLavaKusa is deeply satisfying. As an actor, can’t ask for anything better. A big thank you from team JLK to everyone”. According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, the Tollywood star also criticised film reviewers at the meet, saying the audience should watch the film and decide it’s result.

Jai Lava Kusa is Jr Ntr’s first venture with his actor-producer brother Kalyan Ram, who is the producer of the film. Helmed by KS Ravindra aka Bobby, the film has Raashi Khanna and Nivetha Thomas as female leads. Jr Ntr had earlier said that the movie, which circles around brothers and familial relationships, was a gift to his family from the brothers.
