BENGALURU: The English question paper for ongoing SSLC mid-term examinations in the state was leaked in Bengaluru Rural district on Tuesday. According to the information available, the paper was getting circulated on social media since morning but authorities ignored the same considering it as a rumour.

“But when we saw the original paper, both were same,” said D Shashikumar, general secretary of Associated management of primary and secondary schools in Karnataka.

Despite clear instructions from the Department of Public Instruction not to prepare or supply question papers, some of the teachers’ associations continue doing that. Even for the Tuesday’s exam, the paper was set and supplied by Teachers’ association of Bengaluru rural district which was in violation.

“We will issue notice to schools, associations involved and to the Deputy Director concerned in this regard,” said a senior official of the Department of Public Instruction.
