Huawei and its sub-brand Honor seems to be gearing up to launch a new smartphone in India soon. However, we are not talking about the Honor 7X which is scheduled to launch on October 11.
Well, a new smartphone seems to be in works and fresh rumors indicate that the phone comes with a bezel-less display. Besides, rumors also suggest that the handset will take the design inspiration from "Maimang 6" which was recently launched in China.
According to Indiatoday, the new Honor smartphone will feature four cameras in total. So basically the smartphone will be equipped with dual cameras both at the front and the rear. However, apart from these small pieces of information, nothing concrete has been leaked or no official word from the company has been released.
Meanwhile, with an aim to cultivate a vibrant photography culture in India, Honor India has also been running 'See Yourself With 2 Eyes' social contest on Instagram and Facebook which only suggests the arrival of a smartphone with dual cameras at front.
But again basing our story on the rumored details, we can pretty much get some idea of what to expect. Notably, these days rumors and leaked information tend to hit the right notes or turn out to be true. They further have a good effect in developing a story.
That being said, as far as our speculations go, the new smartphone could sport a dual 13MP + 2MP setup at the front and a dual 16MP + 2MP at the rear. Further, the handset could feature a 5.9-inch edge-to-edge display with full HD resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The display is expected to have very thin bezels at the top and bottom as well. It will likely be powered by octa-core Kirin 659 chip with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage.
In any case, while information is limited we are assuming the new Honor smartphone to be just a variant of Miamang 6. It could be that Honor along with Huawei will most likely introduce the same smartphone but with a different name.
Earlier reports indicated that the Miamang 6 could be launched as Huawei Mate 10 Lite or G10 for international markets. Recently, Huawei did release a smartphone dubbed as Nova 2i but many say it is the same smartphone as Maimang 6 but with a different name. Seems like Huawei and Honor just have some bizarre naming tactic or it could be that both the companies are working on some crazy strategy behind the scenes.
