Draughtsman gets 1-yr RI in disproportionate assets case

An Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) here today sentenced a draughtsman to one year rigorous imprisonment in a disproportionate assets case.

Principal Special Judge for ACB cases, K Sailaja, convicted Ch Gal Reddy, draughtsman grade-I, in the case and sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for one year.


Sailaja also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on Reddy, who is posted at Peddapally in Karimnagar district.

The ACB had in 2003 registered a case against Reddy for possessing disproportionate assets worth Rs 70 lakh.

The charge sheet was filed in the ACB in 2007.
