Ramineni merit awards presented

Ramineni Foundation Awards being presented to SSC toppers in Guntur on Tuesday | Express

GUNTUR: Supreme Court Judge J Chelameswar presented the Ramineni Foundation Awards at a function held here on  Tuesday. Awards were presented to SSC toppers of government schools and teachers who achieved excellent results. In all, 146 students received the merit awards.Participating in the award presentation function, Human Resource Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao said the government is spending `23,200 crore per annum  on education in the State. It is planning to develop basic amenities in government schools at a cost of `5,000 crore as part of initiatives to enhance education standards, he said. 


Justice Chelameswar lauded the services being rendered by the Ramineni Foundation. He underlined the need for promotion of education to develop human resources which is vital for the economic growth of nation.Ministers K Kala Venkata Rao and N Anand Babu, Ramineni Foundation convener P Nagabhushanam, Narasaraopet MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao and others participated in the award presentation function.
