Mahesh Babu’s much-awaited film Spyder hit screens today. This is for the first time that Mahesh Babu has collaborated with director AR Murugadoss. After back to back family-oriented films, Mahesh comes back in an action avatar in Spyder. Being a multi-lingual release, Spyder is also touted to be the next big Telugu release. In fact, it is expected to give a tough run at the box office to Jr NTR’s Jai Lava Kusa, which is doing really well.

12:22: The reactions from the audience have been mixed so far. While some cite that this happens to be the weakest AR Murugadoss film, Tamil fans feel that the actor has performed very well. Especially, when it comes to his dubbing, he has impressed the audience. Trade analysts have also appreciated both Mahesh Babu and SJ Suryah.

11:45 am: Many have found that the VFX was not up to the par, and also feel that Rakul Preet’s character could have been better with added depth. However, unanimously, SJ Suryah has received rave reviews. The actor who plays the antagonist in the film is being appreciated by everyone for his performance in the AR Murugadoss film.
