The third franchise Race i.e Race 3 has now already become the most anticipated film of 2018. After all, from the direction of Remo D’Souza to the casting of Salman Khan, the film has already been generating much news in the tinsel town. However, the recent buzz about Sidharth Malhotra’s casting has created a storm in the industry.
Well, there have been rumours doing rounds in B-town that A Gentleman star was approached for this upcoming starrer Race 3. However, according to the report published in DNA, Sidharth has rejected the project. Yes, the 32-year-old actor has said no to the Salman starrer film for the shocking reason. A source told DNA that “Sid didn’t like the script. And he was clear about it. He didn’t dilly-dally and keep the makers waiting. He politely turned down the offer.”
The report further suggested that even if Salman is in the main lead, but the second lead too important role in the film. A source further told DNA, “There is a face-off between these two characters – Salman and the other hero. So, it isn’t a menial role. After Salman’s, this is the biggest role in the film, anyway. Also, Sid and Salman are extremely fond of each other. The two-hero equation wasn’t the reason at all. He has done Brothers with Akshay Kumar before so it wasn’t an issue here, too.”
But, it seems like Sidharth has missed a big opportunity to work with Salman.
