In a shocking incident, a British resident and her female friend were shot at by alleged cattle mafia in Gurugram, Haryana, Times of India reports. The terrifying incident, where the two women were attacked, took place on Sohna Road on Monday. The report said that the assailants not only shot at, but also attempted push a live cow onto the women’s moving car from their vehicle. The women have lodged an FIR at the Sohna City police station in this matter. Sonia Sharma, a British resident, was going towards Mewat in her car along with her friend Archie Baranwal. Both of them spotted a pick-up truck (RJ 32 GA 2303) carrying cattle. The report said that animals were tied and stuffed badly into the small vehicle. What was more shocking that there were no rear tyres in the vehicle and yet it was speeding towards Mewat from Gurugram on just the rims.

Both the women were lucky as the shot missed. They, however, continued to follow the men. Meanwhile, they also informed the police about the incident over phone. As the accused saw the car chasing them, one of them pushed a live cow at the car. However, the women were again able to save themselves but the animal got injured as it was thrown out of a moving vehicle. By this point, the assailants probably realised that they may not be able to counter the bravehearts.

Also, considering their vehicle was running without tyres, the accused abandoned the vehicle and fled. The cops investigating matter have now recovered two animals pushed on the road and four other animals from inside the truck. The assault weapon has also been recovered.
