GANDHINAGAR: On the second day of his three-day visit to Gujarat, Rahul Gandhi focused on the Patidars and farmers to woo voters in the politically sensitive Saurashtra region on Tuesday.

While at Dhrol, Gandhi donned the Patidar cap with slogan “Jai Sardar, Jai Patidar” written on it, at Tankara, he invoked the Amul model of cooperative to reach out to the farmers.

Gandhi trained his guns on BJP for police action during the Patidar agitation and said unlike the ruling party, Congress believed in moving ahead along with all the communities.

He addressed people at various locations and targeted the Modi government over demonetisation and what he termed as fake promises, invoking the recently viral social media campaign of “Vikas Gando Thayo Chhe” (development has gone crazy). At Tankara, Gandhi asked people about their opinion on GST.
