NEW DELHI: Over 30 stocks, including Adhunik Industries, SAB Events & Governance Now Media, Sri Adhikari, Dishman Carbogen Amcis, Shilpi Cable, Videocon, Ponni Sugars, Banswara Syntex, Hindustan Computers, Tera Software, Huhtamaki and Steel Exchange touched their new 52-week lows on NSE in Tuesday's trade.

On the other hand, Anik Industries, Avenue Supermarts, Gufic Biosciences, Reliance Home Finance, Shoppers Stop and TV Today Network were among the 9 stocks that hit fresh 52-week highs in trade so far.

Weak global cues along with selling in FMCG, bank and IT stocks kept the domestic equity markets under pressure.

Equity benchmarks Nifty and Sensex reflected the bearish mood of the market.

The Nifty50 index was trading 28 points lower at 9,845, while the 30-share Sensex was 78 points down at 31,548 around 12.20 pm (IST).

Hindustan Unilever, Dr Reddy's, Asian Paints, HDFC, Tata Consultancy Services, Bharti Airtel and NTPC were the top losers in Sensex index.

Among the gainers, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) continued enjoying the upswing, with gains of up to 4 per cent.

Tata Steel, Sun Pharma, Lupin and Adani Ports were the other major gainers.

Metal and realty stocks held up, with Vedanta, Jindal Steel, Indiabulls Real Estate, Phoenix Mills and Delta Corp registering decent gains.

On the NSE, 962 stocks were advancing, compared with 658 stocks declining and 345 stocks remaining unchanged.

On BSE, 1,311 stocks were advancing whereas 980 stocks were lagging and 141 stocks were appearing unchanged.
