A man has gone missing after allegedly stabbing his wife and sister-in-law to death in north Delhi's Timarpur late Sunday, police said.
The deceased have been identified as Sonia, 24, and Prem Lata, 22. They were stabbed multiple times by Sonia's husband Mohit Kumar with a kitchen knife and a screw driver.
"The victim was attacked after a quarrel broke out between her and her husband over the man's drinking habit. The fight reached such a level that the man grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed her. Neighbours heard them screaming," said senior officer of Timarpur police station. When Prem Lata arrived at the scene to rescue of her sister, she was also attacked with the knife and a screw driver. An FIR has been filed and a hunt is on to arrest Mohit.
