Philips Lighting has opened its Global Customer Remote Operations Centre (ROC) here. It has partnered with HCL Technologies to develop the centre on a BOT basis.
The centre is equipped with network monitoring technology and data analytics software, and will enable Philips Lighting to provide its connected lighting customers with a range of services from predictive fault monitoring to consultancy services based on data insights, according to company executives. Further, the ROC will help its customers to increase their operational efficiency and save costs on energy and maintenance.
Sumit Joshi, CEO South Asia, Philips Lighting, said: “Through our advanced operations centre, we can provide customers with real-time data analytics and insights into their connected operations that will help them to improve their business.”
Kurt De Ruwe, Chief Information Officer, Philips Lighting, said Bengaluru’s large software talent pool makes it the ideal place to base the ROC, serving the company’s customers globally.
The ROC will offer remote monitoring, diagnostics and performance management services. The biggest value addition will be system optimisation through predictive maintenance and benchmarking, enabling users to optimise their energy metering and performance, company executives said.
