EA Sports could land themselves into trouble as their latest football number – the FIFA 18 – does not show Jammu and Kashmir as part of India on the map. According to reports, the map used in the game is without the northern-most part of the country.

FIFA 18, the much awaited football game, is set to release on September 29. With India emerging as a major gaming market, this is the last thing makers would have wanted ahead of a big release. After the success of FIFA 17, FIFA 18, which has Cristiano Ronaldo on its cover, this version is expected to be bigger and better with improvements in gameplay and introduction of some exciting features.

While opting to pick India in the multiplayer online mode, the map does  not show Jammu and Kashmir as part of India. There is no official word from EA yet and it remains to be seen whether it’s deliberate or a technical glitch. With not much time left in the release, this is expected to invite trouble for the gaming giants.
