"One tax will be applied in entire country. Today, six taxes of GST are there and around 80 lakhs small shopkeepers, traders come under GST. You have brought GST without any preparation. Congress is in favour of GST, we never opposed it. But the new form of GST is not benefiting anyone. It's a burden on people. Small shopkeepers are suffering today."
"After demonetisation, shopkeepers' dealings has reduced. On top of that, one has to file returns three times in a month. After three and a half years, Economic Advisory Council has been formed today. If you would have heard people's economic advice, then you would not have gone with demonetisation.", PCC Chief and senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot stated.
The unique thing about the march was the use of bullock carts, horses, camel carts, and cycle rickshaws. This was to emphasise upon the increase in fuel prices.
"In India we import 88% oil from outside. When import prices have gone down, then there is no need for the oil prices to skyrocket. Also, various states have voiced their displeasure over it.", Pilot said.
