David Sakurai cast in Fantastic Beasts 2 as Krall

Actor David Sakuri will be seen as Krall, the evil wizard Grindelwald's henchman, in Fantastic Beasts 2. Actor Johnny Depp will play the role of Grindlewald in the film and Jude Law plays Dumbledore. The film is written by JK Rowling and will be directed by David Yates. Sakurai was last seen as Scythe in Netflix's 'Iron Fest'.

Actor David Sakurai has joined the cast of ‘Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them’ sequel. The 38-year-old star has been cast as Krall, one of the evil wizard, Grindelwald’s henchmen, reported DigitalSpy.

Actor Johnny Depp will essay Grindlewald in the David Yates-directed film. Sakurai was most recently seen in Marvel’s ‘Iron Fist’ on Netflix as the sickle-swinging assassin Scythe. He was also a recurring player on the streaming giant’s Nordic gangster dramedy ‘Lilyhammer’.

Author JK Rowling finished the script of the yet-to-be-titled second installment of ‘Fantastic Beasts’ in May. Actor Jude Law has been cast to play a young Albus Dumbledore, while Callum Turner will play Newt Scamander’s (Eddie Redmayne) older brother, Theseus.

The film will be directed by David Yates while the screenplay is written by JK Rowling. David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram will be the producers of the film. The shooting of the film has begun at Warner Bros. Studios.

The creative team of the film, however, comprises of all the Oscar-winning personalities. Stuart Craig as production designer, Philippe Rousselot as director of photography, Colleen Atwood as costume designer and Tim Burke as visual effects supervisor.

David Sakurai is known for his films like ‘Kraftidioten’, ‘Echoes of a Ronin’ (short film), ‘Dark Samura,’ ‘Liza-The Fox-Fairy’. The film will arrive in cinemas on November 16, 2018. There’s another major box office clash with this movie as Steve McQueen’s crime thriller ‘Widows’ too would hit the screens on the same day.
