Twitter had first signed Komli Media as its ad sales partner in 2012, and the contract was renewed last year.
MUMBAI: Twitter has roped in digital ad network Httpool as its new ad partner to maximise revenue opportunities in India. Starting October 1, Httpool will be the official reseller for Twitter in India and will work towards expanding the pool of advertisers for the micro-blogging social network.

Twitter had first signed Komli Media as its ad sales partner in 2012, and the contract was renewed last year. However, as Httpool has been providing similar services to Twitter in 20 other countries, Twitter decided to go with the company in India too, Taranjeet Singh, country director, Twitter India, told ET.

"India is one of the fastest growing markets for us and while our direct sales team deals with approximately 100 clients, which includes top brands from the Fortune 500 bracket, we need to reach to more clients. Httpool will work as an additional layer of ad sales and help us scale up," said Singh.

As per the deal, Httpool will help Twitter expand its promoted suite of advertising products and emphasise on the company's monetisation efforts. It will reach out to the Indian mid-market segment and help them target potential customers on Twitter giving them high life time value per customer and eventual return on investment.
