'Paris Paris' - 'Queen' remake launched in Chennai

Speaking at the launch of her new movie Paris Paris, the Tamil remake of Hindi hit Queen, Kajal Aggarwal said: “I’m not here to get into anyone’s shoes, and will treat Paris Paris as an original script and do it in my own style”.

The actress intervened and gave this befitting reply when a reporter asked the film’s director Ramesh Aravind whether a commercial heroine like Kajal would justify National Award winning Kangana Ranaut’s towering performance.

Ramesh Aravind said, “Kajal looks beautiful, she has great enthusiasm to learn new things and that’s exactly what a director needs”, he also added that the actress has an extraordinary star presence and great performance skills in films like Magadheera, Temper, and Vivegam.

The Tamil version of Queen will be set in Virudhunagar and famous writer Tamizhachi Thangapandiyan will take care of the dialogues and lyrics. Amit Trivedi, who composed the songs for the original Hindi version is debuting in Tamil with Paris Paris.

The film is being jointly produced by Mediente and Liger.
