Kedarnath: Sara Ali Khan throwing tantrums on sets? Here’s what the makers have to say

Sara Ali Khan is a beautiful mix of innocence and talent, says Producer Arjun N Kapoor.

Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Kedarnath’ has been the talk of the town lately. Not just because it is the launch pad for Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Ali Khan but also because it stars the super-talented Sushant Singh Rajput alongside Sara. While the shooting of the film began about a week ago in Kedarnath itself, rumours of Sara throwing tantrums on the sets went viral almost instantly.

Reports about Sara being too finicky about her look and make-up in the film have been doing the rounds on social media. But producer Arjun N Kapoor, who spoke to DNA from Kedarnath itself, has another story to tell. He says, “Sara is a director’s actor. She completely follows the vision that Abhishek Kapoor has for her and her character in the film. I guess, that’s the reason why she chose the best from the many offers that we know were coming her way.” He also added, “These reports are not just incorrect, but also malicious towards our young actress who is extremely professional. Sara is giving her 100 per cent to the film.”

Talking about Sara’s rehearsals and the commencement of the shoot, Arjun also added that her first day didn’t even feel like the first day because of the uncountable number of rehearsals that the two actors were part of. He quips that Sara understood the theme and mood of the film quite instantly and also picked up the right vibes.

Also talking about Sara canning the first shot, Arjun said, “She got it right in the first take, but we of course, shot it a number of times for details and continuity. Everyone on the sets stopped to watch her perform. For someone who is doing her first film, she was very comfortable in front of the camera and a big outdoor unit.”

He also said that Sara is easily the perfect actor to play the lead female in ‘Kedarnath’ opposite Sushant. “Sara is a beautiful mix of innocence and talent. She is an intelligent girl, well-read and educated, she knows how the industry functions but she is not afraid to work hard and ask questions, which is just what we needed for Kedarnath. She has totally won over the crew of the film already.”
