Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik today stressed on the need to work on the thoughts of Hindutva icon Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay.
The governor said he had the opportunity to exchange thoughts with Upadhyay and listen to him when he used to visit Mumbai in the capacity of general secretary of the Jan Sangh, the BJP forerunner.
"I have seen many aspects of his life," Naik said paying tributes to the Hindutva icon at the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Smritika on his birth centennary, according to an official press statement issued by the Raj Bhavan here.
Naik said Upadhyay was a simple human being but he used to put forth his views very effectively.
"Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay believed in integral humanism, and wanted that the last man of the society should benefit," the governor said.
