Afghan security forces kill 15 Taliban insurgents in Logar province

At least 15 insurgents were killed and 12 others injured after security forces conducted an operation in central Logar province on Sunday.

The provincial police chief, Esmatullah Alizai said the operation was launched in Barak-e-Barak district after the insurgents attacked the security check posts, the Tolo News reported.

However, the has not commented on the incident so far.

Earlier, at least 43 insurgents, including a top commander got killed in air strikes conducted by the United States in the province of Faryab bordering Uzbekistan.
