Expelled Deputy General Secretary of All Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) TTV Dhinakaran on Monday said that the party will go to the Commission (EC) on September 29 in connection with the two leaves symbol case.

"We will go to the Commission on September 29 regarding two leaves symbol case. There is no in All Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) for minister's to call for a General Council. The EC had already barred using party symbol and party name," Dhinakaran said.

On September 22, the EC re-scheduled the hearing in connection with the merged faction of All Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) party's claim over the two leaves symbol and name of the party.

The announcement comes after the merged faction headed by Chief Minister E. Palaniswamy and Deputy Chief Minister O. Paneerselvam moved the EC seeking claim over the party symbol and name.

In its general council meeting on September 12, the merged faction had passed a resolution stating that the will be a unified faction and shall retrieve the two leaves symbol and the name.
