Known for her passion to pursue charitable causes, Shriya Saran has made employment for differently-abled people, a talking point. Despite her busy schedule, the gorgeous actress extends her full support to the empowerment of the disabled, especially the visually challenged.
Shriya is a brand ambassador of the Indian Blind Football Federation and also leads Spandana Spa, which harnesses the healing touch of the visually challenged and provides them employment opportunities. Exceedingly successful, the spa has grown popular and received tremendous appreciation from visitors for its excellent services and massages. Recently, the spa was allotted a stall at The Mommy Network pop up. Undoubtedly, the stall attracted attention from people, intrigued at seeing blind masseurs working with unbelievable skill and efficiency. Also, Spandana Spa brought its soothing ambience and the scents of aromatic oils used for the massages. The blind masseurs not only healed with their magic touch but also engaged with the visitors with their indomitable sense of humour.
Says Shriya, “I am really happy to have been a part of The Mommy Network pop up this year. Most of all, I am immensely proud of the visually challenged staff of Spandana Spa for bringing their energy and healing touch to the pop up.”
