Watch: Women assault Kochi Uber driver, drivers call for strike

An Uber driver from Kochi was beaten and assaulted by two women on last Monday over a small tiff.

The incident took place in Vyttila area in Kochi.

What really happened?

As the cab arrived, the two women noticed there was another passenger in the car. The driver informed the women that they booked an UberPool but the women claimed they didn't.

The verbal tiff then turned into a physical fight between the two parties.

According to the driver, the women punched him in the face repeatedly and attacked him with heavy objects.

Though, the driver filed a complaint against the two women, it was alleged that the police let them go without any charges.

In the video, it was seen clearly that the driver was beaten up badly by the women. The driver was hospitalised after the incident and is critical.

The Uber drivers in Kochi have called for a strike and are demanding strict action against the two.
