A 31-year-old man, a member of the notorious Neeraj Bawana gang and wanted in a case of robbery, has been arrested, the police said today.
Ravinder, who holds an MBA degree, is a resident of Pahargan area of Delhi. He was arrested by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police last week.
"Ravinder was wanted in a case of robbery at gun point in Janakpur on August 10, in which he, along with his associates Bhola, Hunny and Kaku had robbed gold chain and cash from rival gang members after firing gunshots in order to maintain supremacy in the area," a senior police officer said in a statement.
The police also stated that a secret information was received on September 18 that Ravinder would come to Janakpuri near J J Colony, adding that a trap was laid and he was then arrested.
In 2010, Ravinder came in contact with dreaded criminal Bhola, who was an active member of the Neeraj Bawania gang and joined it.
