ROUGH CUT. NO REPORTER NARRATION. The pilot of an Italian Air Force Eurofighter plane was killed on Sunday (September 24) when his aircraft crashed into the sea during an air show stunt in the coastal town of Terracina, some 100 kilometres south of Rome. Footage of the accident emerged on social media showing the F-2000A Typhoon crashing into the sea at the end of a looping with audio of people gasping in the background. The pilot was identified by Italian media as 36-year-old Gabriele Orlandi. His body was recovered at sea by authorities soon after the incident.
